Our current favourite Welsh person Nia Wyn is back hot off on the heels of her very recent EP release with new track ‘Who Asked You’. Once again, the emerging musician presents her stylish combination of funk, soul and RnB, with a robust production bolstering the unrelenting energy of Wyn’s songwriting. The instrumentation is like dipping into a cool pond, which is just as well as those fired-up lyrics might burn a little. As ever, Wyn makes note of her humble beginnings in suburban Wales with the line “stuck in a small town, house on the prairie.” In fact, the whole track is full of memorable lyrics that take well-known phrases and spin them with Wyn’s cracking personality.
